Bilateral relations exist between Australia and Bangladesh.

History

Australia was the fourth country, and the first in the developed world, to recognise Bangladesh's independence in 1971.{{cite web |url=http://www.dfat.gov.au/geo/bangladesh/bangladesh_country_brief.html |title=Bangladesh country brief |website=Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade (Australia) |access-date=2013-03-20}} A high commission was opened in Dhaka and relations have been warm since then.

Trade and investment
