Autocrates ({{langx|grc|Αὐτοκράτης}}) was an Ancient Athenian poet of the old comedy. One of his plays is mentioned by the Suda and Aelian.V. H. xii. 9.(cited in Smith) He also wrote several tragedies.Suda. (cited in Smith)

The Autocrates quoted by Athenaeusix. p. 395 and xi. p. 460 (cited in Smith) seems to have been a different person.
