The Autopista AP-1 (also known in Spanish as Autopista del Norte) is a Spanish autopista. It has two separate sections: the first from Burgos to Armiñón, and the second from Etxabarri Ibiña (a hamlet close to Vitoria-Gasteiz) to Eibar. In Eibar, at the Malzaga junction, AP-1 meets Autopista AP-8, which connects with Irun and the French border.
The first section became toll-free in 2018.{{cite news |title=Otro verano de retenciones en la AP-1 |url=https://www.diariodeburgos.es/Noticia/ZAFE3FCD1-DAED-25A7-3A0DB32F4B7332EA/202205/Otro-verano-de-retenciones-en-la-AP-1 |access-date=3 June 2022 |work=Diario de Burgos |date=20 May 2022 |language=es}} However, it has kept the AP prefix, usually reserved to tolled motorways.{{cite web |title=Catálogo Oficial de Carreteras.
