In 2008, the building changed ownership and became Avalon Music to reflect its history. An expansion project was started in 2018 to turn the building into a restaurant, office space, and apartments.{{cite news |last=Kiger |first=Jeff |date=December 12, 2018 |title=European café to anchor renovation of historic Rochester building |url=https://www.postbulletin.com/news/business/european-caf-to-anchor-renovation-of-historic-rochester-building/article_c0ae2758-fd97-11e8-abb6-6ba1f8d62f59.html |work=Post-Bulletin |location=Rochester, Minnesota}}
