History
In May 1943, a request was made for a fully tracked transport vehicle capable of carrying 20 men. It was decided to convert some obsolete BT series tanks into BT-43 carriers. The BT-43 appeared clumsy and with a high profile. The turret was removed, and a truck wooden platform was located on the modified hull, leaving this vehicle to transport ammunition tasks.{{Cite book |last=Cucut |first=Carlo |url=https://books.google.com/books?id=vHRMEAAAQBAJ&dq=BT-43+soviet&pg=PP69 |title=The Finnish armored units |date=2021-11-05 |publisher=Soldiershop Publishing |isbn=978-88-9327-794-5 |language=en}}https://www.armedconflicts.com/BT-43-t81640The prototype was not a great success and no further development took place, with the prototype being scrapped in May 1945.{{Cite book |last=Tucker-Jones |first=Anthony |url=https://books.google.com/books?id=t_rLDwAAQBAJ&dq=BT-43+tank&pg=PT62 |title=Armoured Warfare and Hitler's Allies, 1941–1945 |date=2013-07-19 |publisher=Casemate Publishers |isbn=978-1-78346-899-7 |language=en}}https://fox3000.com/BT.htm
