BTRDA Rally Series
BTRDA Rally Series is a rally series in Great Britain.
The BTRDA (British Trials and Rally Drivers Association) was formed in 1938 by a group of disgruntled participants in the London-Gloucester reliability trials. The event had been promoted as suitable for amateurs with ordinary road cars, but proved so difficult that only two cars completed.James Bolton, Motorsport News, p. 24, 24 April 2013. Originally, BTRDA organised only sporting trials (first champion listed is Ken Wharton in 1948),[https://btrda.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/02/BTRDA-Champions-History-Sporting-Trials.pdf BTRDA Championship Winners (Sporting Trials)], btrda.com, retrieved 3 June 2020. only adding rallycross (first champion listed is Trevor Reeves in 1977)[https://btrda.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/02/BTRDA-Champions-History-Rallycross.pdf BTRDA Championship Winners (Rallycross)], btrda.com, retrieved 3 June 2020. and Allrounders championships in the 1970s.[https://btrda.com/history/ BTRDA History], btrda.com, retrieved 3 June 2020.
According to The World of Automobiles, the BTRDA event is the most important trials championship in the UK.Ian Ward (ed), The World of Automobiles: An Illustrated Encyclopedia of the Motor Car, vol. 20, p. 2363, Orbis, 1974 {{oclc|1004805042}}
