The Bagalini Colombo ({{langx|en|Dove}}) is an Italian homebuilt aircraft that was designed by Marino Bagalini. The aircraft is supplied in the form of plans for amateur construction.Purdy, Don: AeroCrafter - Homebuilt Aircraft Sourcebook, Fifth Edition, page 126. BAI Communications, 15 July 1998. {{ISBN|0-9636409-4-1}}

Design and development

The Colombo features a strut-braced parasol wing, a two-seats in side-by-side configuration open cockpit with a windshield, fixed conventional landing gear, or optional tricycle landing gear, and a single engine in tractor configuration.

The aircraft is made from wood and metal, with its flying surfaces covered in doped aircraft fabric. Its {{convert|10.5|m|ft|1|abbr=on}} span wing employs an RSG 35 airfoil at the wing root, transitioning to an RSG 36 airfoil at the wing tip. The wing mounts Junkers ailerons and has a wing area of {{convert|16.723|m2|sqft|abbr=on}}. The standard engine used is the {{convert|40|hp|kW|0|abbr=on}} Rotax 447 two-stroke powerplant.{{Cite web|url = http://www.ae.illinois.edu/m-selig/ads/aircraft.html|title = The Incomplete Guide to Airfoil Usage|accessdate = 12 December 2013|last = Lednicer|first = David|year = 2010|archive-url = https://web.archive.org/web/20110719211726/http://www.ae.illinois.edu/m-selig/ads/aircraft.html|archive-date = 19 July 2011|url-status = dead}}

The Colombo has an empty weight of {{convert|150|kg|lb|abbr=on}} and a gross weight of {{convert|320|kg|lb|abbr=on}}, giving a useful load of {{convert|170|kg|lb|abbr=on}}. With full fuel of {{convert|23|L}} the payload is {{convert|151|kg|lb|abbr=on}}.

The manufacturer estimates construction time from the supplied kit to be 700 hours.
