Ballistic (Kelvin Mao) is a superhero published by DC Comics. He first appeared in Batman Annual #17 (1993), part of the Bloodlines event, and was created by Doug Moench and Michael Manley.
Fictional character biography
Kelvin Mao is a Korean-American member of the Gotham City Police Department. After being bitten by the alien parasite Angon, activating his metahuman abilities, Mao becomes the superhero Ballistic and works with several other heroes to battle the parasites.Batman 506-507 (1994)Batman #557 (August 1998)
In subsequent appearances, Ballistic joins the Blood Pack before Superboy-Prime kills him during Infinite Crisis. In Blackest Night, he is resurrected as a Black Lantern before Prime kills him using a black ring.Infinite Crisis #7 (June 2006)Adventure Comics vol. 2, #4–5, #7 (January–February 2010)
Powers and abilities
Ballistic is a metahuman who possesses superhuman strength, durability, hearing, and vision. He is additionally a skilled tactician, marksman, and combatant.
