Barron Dean Bowman (born December 18, 1964) is an American former professional football player who was a punter for one season with the Seattle Seahawks of the National Football League (NFL). He played college football at Louisiana Tech. He was also a member of the Los Angeles Rams.

Early life and college

Barron Dean Bowman was born on December 18, 1964, in Port Arthur, Texas.{{cite web | url=https://www.profootballarchives.com/players/b/bowm00200.html | title=Barry Bowman | publisher=profootballarchives.com | accessdate=24 December 2024}} He attended Spring Hill High in Longview, Texas.

He was a four-year letterman for the Louisiana Tech Bulldogs of Louisiana Tech University from 1983 to 1986.

Professional career

After going undrafted in the 1987 NFL draft, Bowman signed with the Los Angeles Rams on May 1.{{cite web | url=https://www.profootballarchives.com/transactions/b/bowm00200.html | title=Barry Bowman NFL Transactions | publisher=profootballarchives.com | accessdate=24 December 2024}} He was traded to the Seattle Seahawks on August 25, 1987. He was released on September 8. He was later re-signed by the Seahawks on October 14, during the 1987 NFL players strike. Coaching career
