Basal cell adenoma

The most common involved site is the parotid gland, however other possible sites include the submandibular gland,{{cite book|author=Witt RL|title=Salivary Gland Diseases: Surgical and Medical Management|url=https://books.google.com/books?id=DzeFVDYopvIC&pg=PA127|date=1 January 2011|publisher=Thieme|isbn=978-1-60406-537-4|pages=126–128}} minor salivary glands of upper lip, buccal mucosa, palate and nasal septum.

It appears as a slow-growing, firm and mobile mass.

Treatment is by surgical excision with a margin of healthy tissue. Although the recurrence rate is high, the prognosis is generally good.
