Bbánlám pìngyīm
{{Short description|Romanization system for the Amoy version of the Hokkien Southern Min language}}
{{RCL}}{{Written Hokkien}}
Bbánlám Uē Pìngyīm Hōng'ànThe two apostrophes here are not needed for native speakers (since *Hōngg and *Hōn cannot be a valid syllable in Hokkien), but is used within the official orthography. It would be written as Bbánlám Ōe Pìngyīm Hōngàn in practice. ({{zh|t=閩南話拼音方案|poj=Bân-lâm Ōe Pheng-im Hong-àn}}), Bbánlám pìngyīm, Minnan pinyin or simply pingyim, is a romanization system for Hokkien Southern Min, in particular the Amoy (Xiamen) version of this language.Versions for the Quanzhou and Zhangzhou dialects are also devised, but not popular. This romanization system was devised at Xiamen University and first published in the 1982 普通話閩南方言詞典 (Mandarin-Hokkien Dictionary).{{Cite journal |last=Hompot |first=Sebestyén |year=2018 |editor-last=Schottenhammer |editor-first=Angela |title=Xiamen at the Crossroads of Sino-Foreign Linguistic Interaction during the Late Qing and Republican Periods: The Issue of Hokkien Phoneticization |url=https://crossroads-research.net/wp-content/uploads/2020/12/CR-17-18-2020-06-23.pdf |journal=Crossroads: Studies on the History of Exchange Relations in the East Asian World |publisher=OSTASIEN Verlag |volume=17/18 |pages=196 |issn=2190-8796}}
