Belarus has been represented at the Junior Eurovision Song Contest in every edition since its inception in {{Escyr|2003|J}} until {{Escyr|2020|J}}. The Belarusian Television and Radio Company (BTRC), then a member organisation of the European Broadcasting Union (EBU), has been responsible for the selection process of its participants since its debut. The country hosted the contest at the Minsk-Arena in {{Escyr|2010|Junior}} and again in {{Escyr|2018|Junior}}.
The first representative to participate for the nation at the 2003 contest was Volha Satsiuk with the song "Tantsuy", which finished in fourth place out of sixteen participating entries, achieving a score of 103 points.
Belarus was one of two countries to have never missed an edition of the contest, the other one being the {{Esccnty|Netherlands|Junior}}, until the broadcaster was expelled from the EBU in 2021. It is also one of the two countries, along with {{Esccnty|Serbia|Junior}}, to have participated in the Junior Eurovision Song Contest before debuting in the adult one. The country hosted the contest at the Minsk-Arena in {{Escyr|2010|Junior}} and again in {{Escyr|2018|Junior}}.
