Berlin Township is one of the nine townships of Erie County, Ohio, United States. It is part of the Sandusky, Ohio metropolitan statistical area. As of the 2020 census the population was 3,450.
Geography
Located in the eastern part of the county along Lake Erie, it borders the following townships:
- Vermilion Township - northeast
- Florence Township - east
- Wakeman Township, Huron County - southeast corner
- Townsend Township, Huron County - south
- Norwalk Township, Huron County - southwest corner
- Milan Township - west
- Huron Township - northwest
The village of Berlin Heights is located in southern Berlin Township.
Name and history

Government
The township is governed by a three-member board of trustees, who are elected in November of odd-numbered years to a four-year term beginning on the following January 1. Two are elected in the year after the presidential election and one is elected in the year before it. Vacancies in the fiscal officership or on the board of trustees are filled by the remaining trustees.
