Bhukai (subcaste)
Bhukai or Bukai is an Indian subcaste of the Sikh Ahluwalia and Hindu Karal (Ahluwalia) castes. People belonging to this subcaste are natives of South Asia.{{Cite book |last=Dogra |first=R. Origin
Bhukai are also known as Bukai or Bukhai. They are one of the sub-castes of the Karals/Kalals also known as Kharrals. Majority of them follow Hinduism and some follow Sikhism as a part of Ahluwalias. A follower of Islam is also known as a Kakkezai. They are also as a part of Ahluwalias who are historically related to Karals.
