Big Rig were a punk band formed in the San Francisco Bay Area in 1993.{{Cite AV media notes|title=Expansive Heart|others=Big Rig|year=1994|type=liner notes|publisher=Lookout Records|id=Lookout Records Number 94|location=Berkeley, California}} Singer/songwriter Jesse Michaels fronted the group after the breakup of his previous band, Operation Ivy.
