Publication history
Bird-Brain first appeared in The New Mutants #55 (September 1987), and was first fully seen in The New Mutants #56 (October 1987). Fictional character biography
Bird-Brain is one of the "Ani-Mates", a group of humanoid animals who the Ani-Mator created and experimented on. Bird-Brain develops close relationships with Cypher and Wolfsbane, viewing the latter as a kindred spirit. He and the New Mutants later return to the Ani-Mator's island to free the Ani-Mates, during which he decides to live there.The New Mutants #57 - 61 (November 1987 - March 1988)
