Blockhouse is an unincorporated community in Klickitat County, in the U.S. state of Washington.{{GNIS|1512016}}
History
Blockhouse had its start in the 1850s when a military fort was built near the town site.{{cite book|last=Meany|first=Edmond S.|title=Origin of Washington geographic names|url=https://babel.hathitrust.org/cgi/pt?id=mdp.39015027074981;view=1up;seq=35|year=1923|publisher=University of Washington Press|location=Seattle|page=19}} and was used during the Yakima War.
