Blood Cross is one of American photographer Andres Serrano{{'}}s early religious-themed postmodernist images, released in 1985, two years before the controversial Piss Christ was debuted. This image depicted a plexiglass cross filled with cow's blood; the cross leaked slightly making it appear as though it was bleeding.{{Cite book| publisher = New York Media, LLC| last = LLC| first = New York Media| title = New York Magazine| date = 1995-02-27|url=https://books.google.com/books?id=mOMCAAAAMBAJ&pg=PA118}} It was exhibited along with Milk, Blood as part of Serrano's Fluids series.{{Cite book| publisher = Psychology Press| isbn = 978-0-415-30184-8| last = Young| first = Alison| title = Judging the Image: Art, Value, Law| date = 2005|url=https://books.google.com/books?id=WZZaFE7zyRwC&pg=PA29}}
