Robert Edwin Thomas (20 March 1939 – 26 January 2016)[http://www.nzherald.co.nz/northern-advocate/sport/news/article.cfm?c_id=1503448&objectid=11580368 Athletics: Bob Thomas makes final leap] was a New Zealand long jumper who still holds the current national long jump record of 8.05m.
