History

Boston was incorporated by the Georgia General Assembly in 1870.{{cite book|title=Acts and Resolutions of the General Assembly of the State of Georgia|url=https://books.google.com/books?id=3cJpFYpCzQAC&pg=PA134|year=1897|publisher=Clark & Hines, State Printers|page=134}} An early variant name was "Blue Springs"; the present name is after Thomas M. It is 107 miles east of Dothan, Alabama and 21 miles west of Valdosta.
