Boston is an unincorporated community in Summit County, in the U.S. state of Ohio.{{GNIS|1064467}}
History
The community takes its name from Boston Township.{{cite book|last=Overman|first=William Daniel|title=Ohio Town Names|url=https://babel.hathitrust.org/cgi/pt?id=mdp.39015015361465;view=1up;seq=32|year=1958|publisher=Atlantic Press|location=Akron, OH|page=16}} The first settlement at Boston was made in 1820.{{cite book|last=Perrin|first=William Henry|title=History of Summit County: With an Outline Sketch of Ohio|url=https://archive.org/details/historyofsummitc00perr|year=1881|publisher=Baskin & Battey|page=[https://archive.org/details/historyofsummitc00perr/page/542 542]}} A sawmill was built at Boston in about 1821. In 1974, a significant portion of the area near Boston was added to what would become Cuyahoga Valley National Park.
