Bova's Bakery is a bakery in the North End of Boston, United States.

History

Founded by Italian immigrant Antonio Bova on Salem Street (but across the street from its current location) in 1926,{{cite web |title=The Tiramisu At Bova’s Bakery In Massachusetts Was Voted The Best In America |url=https://www.onlyinyourstate.com/massachusetts/tiramisu-bova-ma/ |website=Only in your State |access-date=14 May 2023 |archive-date=14 May 2023 |archive-url=https://web.archive.org/web/20230514225129/https://www.onlyinyourstate.com/massachusetts/tiramisu-bova-ma/ |url-status=live }} they specialized only in bread. It eventually added booths, becoming a diner before removing them. By the 1990s, they added more substantial meals like rice balls, pizzas and calzones.

Another source says they opened in 1932.{{cite news |last1=Hurwitz |first1=Marc |title=BOVA’S BAKERY |url=https://digboston.com/bovas-bakery/ |access-date=14 May 2023 |publisher=DIG Boston |date=May 18, 2016 |archive-date=14 May 2023 |archive-url=https://web.archive.org/web/20230514225130/https://digboston.com/bovas-bakery/ |url-status=live }}

Antonio's five sons worked in the business with two eventually selling their shares of the business.
