Brampton is a village and civil parish in the English county of Norfolk.

Brampton is located {{Convert|2.4|mi|km}} south-east of Aylsham and {{Convert|10|mi|km}} north of Norwich.

History

In the Domesday Book, Brampton is recorded as a settlement of 30 households in the hundred of South Erpingham. Geography

Brampton is located in the Bure Valley, and the River Bure marks the northern border of the parish.

Brampton Station is an intermediate halt on the Bure Valley Railway.

St. Peter's Church

Brampton's parish church is dedicated to Saint Peter and is one of Norfolk's 124 remaining round-tower churches. Governance

Brampton is part of the electoral ward of Buxton for local elections and is part of the district of Broadland.

The village's national constituency is Broadland and Fakenham which has been represented by the Conservative Party's Jerome Mayhew MP since 2019.

War Memorial
