History and profile
The magazine was first published in 1886 under the name Das Blatt der Hausfrau (German: Housewife’s Journal).{{cite journal|author=Nina Sylvester|title=Before Cosmopolitan|journal=Journalism Studies|year=2007|volume=8|issue=4|pages=550–554

During World War II it stopped publication.
