Budalangi Constituency

Budalangi Constituency is an electoral constituency in Kenya. It is one of seven constituencies in Busia County. The constituency was established for the 1997 elections. The physical setting of Budalangi at the floodplain of River Nzoia and increased runoff from degraded catchments has been contributory factors to flooding disasters experienced in the region every year, destroying thousands of crop fields and leaving thousands of families homeless. In most cases, River Nzoia breaks its banks due to the backflow of Lake Victoria, flooding the entire filed within days.
