Butryny {{IPAc-pl|b|u|'|t|r|y|n|y}} is a village in the administrative district of Gmina Purda, within Olsztyn County, Warmian-Masurian Voivodeship, in northern Poland.{{TERYT}} It lies approximately {{convert|15|km|mi|0|abbr=on}} south-west of Purda and {{convert|21|km|mi|0|abbr=on}} south of the regional capital Olsztyn. It is located within the historic region of Warmia

The historic sights of Butryny include the Saint James' church, dating back to the 17th century,{{cite web|url=http://natura.wm.pl/110359,Butryny-Kosciol-sw-Jakuba-Starszego.html|title=Butryny: Kościół św.
