The C&C 38 is a series of Canadian sailboats, that were all designed by C&C Design and first built in 1973.{{cite web|url = https://sailboatdata.com/sailboat/cc-38-1|title = C&C 38-1 sailboat specifications and details|access-date = 11 April 2018|last= Browning| first = Randy |work = sailboatdata.com|year = 2018|archive-url= https://archive.today/20220325190918/https://sailboatdata.com/sailboat/cc-38-1|archive-date= 25 March 2022|url-status= live}}{{cite web|url =https://sailboatdata.com/designer/cc-design|title = C&C Design|accessdate = 25 March 2018|last= Browning| first = Randy |work = sailboatdata.com|year = 2018|archive-url= https://archive.today/20210301170340/https://sailboatdata.com/designer/cc-design|archive-date= 1 March 2021|url-status= live}}

Production

The boats were built by C&C Yachts in Canada, but are now out of production.{{cite web|url =https://sailboatdata.com/builder/cc-yachts|title =C&C Yachts |accessdate = 25 March 2018|last= Browning| first = Randy |work = sailboatdata.com|year = 2018|archive-url= https://archive.today/20201015222748/https://sailboatdata.com/builder/cc-yachts|archive-date= 15 October 2020|url-status= live}}

Design

The C&C 38 series are all a small recreational keelboats, built predominantly of fiberglass, with wood trim. They all have masthead sloop rigs and internally-mounted spade-type rudders.

The series includes three designs, the C&C 38 (subsequently called the 38-1 to differentiate it from the later models), the 38-2 and the 38-3. The latter boat was an entirely new design.

The 38-2 was used as the basis for the Landfall 38, built with the same hull shape, but a shorter keel and rig, plus a different interior.{{cite web|url = https://sailboatdata.com/sailboat/landfall-38-cc|title = Landfall 38 sailboat specifications and details|access-date = 21 September 2018|last= Browning| first = Randy |work = sailboatdata.com|year = 2018|archive-url=https://archive.today/20220325190924/https://sailboatdata.com/sailboat/landfall-38-cc|archive-date= 25 March 2022|url-status= live}}
