Design
The CS 50 is a recreational keelboat, built predominantly of fibreglass. It has a masthead sloop rig or can be optionally cutter rigged. It fits an internally-mounted spade-type rudder and a fixed fin keel, displaces {{convert|27557|lb|kg|0|abbr=on}} and carries {{convert|12125|lb|kg|0|abbr=on}} of lead ballast.
The boat has a draft of {{convert|8.67|ft|m|abbr=on}} with the standard keel and {{convert|6.67|ft|m|abbr=on}} with the optional shoal draft keel. No shoal draft examples were built, but the builder advertised it as an option.
The boat is fitted with a Westerbeke W-70 diesel engine. The fuel tank holds {{convert|74|u.s.gal}} and the fresh water tank has a capacity of {{convert|134|u.s.gal}}.
The boat has a PHRF racing average handicap of 84 with a high of 84 and low of 84. It has a hull speed of {{convert|8.3|kn|km/h|2|abbr=on}}.
