The calphostins are inhibitors of protein kinase C (PKC). The most potent member of the series, calphostin C, has found use as a biochemical tool because of this activity.{{cite web |url=https://www.biomol.com/products/chemicals/biochemicals/calphostin-c-cay15383-100?fs=4064629640 |title=Calphostin C |publisher=Biomol GmbH |access-date=11 October 2024 }}
