Description
The plants in this genus are monoecious, with the single sex flowers found in different parts of the same inflorescence. The female flowers are solitary and in the centre, while the male flowers are found in 4 clusters of 3–16 flowers within the involucre opposite the lobes. Each cluster is surrounded by bracts, with the outer one or two being enlarged and enclosing the cluster.{{Cite web|last=Western Australian Herbarium|first=Biodiversity and Conservation Science|date=|title=FloraBase—the Western Australian Flora: Calycopeplus Planch.|url=https://florabase.dpaw.wa.gov.au/browse/profile/21684|url-status=live|archive-url=https://web.archive.org/web/20220201070719/https://florabase.dpaw.wa.gov.au/browse/profile/21684 |archive-date=2022-02-01 |access-date=2020-12-02|website=florabase.dpaw.wa.gov.au|language=en}}
