Ontario politics

At the provincial level in Ontario, Campaign Life helped to establish and initially supported the Family Coalition Party (FCP).{{cite news|title=Tory courting in Carleton-Gloucester|author=Baer, Nicole|work=The Ottawa Citizen |date=7 May 1988|page=6}} Following the FCP's name change to the New Reform Party of Ontario and the election of Patrick Brown as the new leader of the Progressive Conservative Party of Ontario in 2015, the CLC appeared to switch support to the Ontario PCs. The CLC endorsed Brown's bid for the leadership, along with the other social conservative leadership candidate Monte McNaughton, and released a statement congratulating Brown on his victory.[https://www.thestar.com/news/queenspark/2015/05/09/patric-brown-wins-ontario-pc-leadership.html "Patrick Brown wins Ontario PC leadership"], Toronto Star, May 09 2015.[https://www.thestar.com/news/canada/2015/05/09/ontario-pcs-pick-a-pro-lifer-to-lead-their-rebirth-cohn.html "Ontario PCs pick a pro-lifer to lead their rebirth"], Toronto Star, May 09 2015. The group later became critical of Brown after he publicly announced that he would not repeal the new provincial sex education curriculum changes if he became premier.{{Cite web|url=https://www.thestar.com/news/queenspark/2016/12/27/tory-leader-patrick-brown-feeling-the-squeeze-as-he-tries-to-unify-party-ranks.html|title=Tory Leader Patrick Brown feeling the squeeze as he tries to unify party ranks|last=Ferguson|first=Rob|date=December 27, 2016|website=thestar.com|publisher=Toronto Star|access-date=December 28, 2016}}
