The Capoferri M1 was a Group 6 sports prototype race car, designed, developed and built by Renzo Zorzi, in 1979.{{Cite web|url=http://www.motorsportmemorial.org/LWFWIW/focusLWFWIW.php?db=LWF&db2=ms&n=2031|title=Motorsport Memorial -|website=www.motorsportmemorial.org}}{{Cite web|url=http://www.racingyears.com/chassis.php?Chassis=Capoferri+M1+-+Ford|title=Capoferri M1 - Ford Profile | Racing Years|website=www.racingyears.com}}{{Cite web|url=http://www.racingyears.com/chassisgraphs.php?Chassis=Capoferri+M1+-+Ford|title=Capoferri M1 - Ford Profile | Racing Years|website=www.racingyears.com}} It was closely based on, and took similar design cues from the similar Lola T286, which was also a racing prototype. It won a single race, at Enna-Pergusa, in 1980, where it also won in its class, and took pole position for the race. Similar to the Lola, it was powered by a {{cvt|3.0|L|cuin}} naturally-aspirated Ford-Cosworth DFV V8 engine, producing around {{cvt|445|hp|kW}} @ 10,500 rpm.{{cite web|url=https://www.racingsportscars.com/type/Capoferri/M1.html|title=Capoferri M1|access-date=22 June 2022}}{{cite web | url=https://www.racingsportscars.com/type/results/Capoferri/M1.html | title=Capoferri M1 - All Results - Racing Sports Cars }}{{Cite web|url=https://www.f1forgottendrivers.com/drivers/renzo-zorzi/|title=Renzo Zorzi | | The "forgotten" drivers of F1|date=September 26, 2019|website=www.f1forgottendrivers.com}}
