Carex nemoralis is a plant species in the Cyperaceae (sedge) family.{{APNI2|name=Carex nemoralis|id=4300306|access-date=2025-02-05}}{{cite Q|Q43370969|pages= 1-42 [34]}} It was first described in 1994 as Uncinia nemoralis by the Australian botanist Karen Wilson,{{cite Q|Q55801380|pages=589-625 [620, fig. 9a]}} and was transferred to the genus, Carex, in 2015 by the Global Carex Group.
