Carex simpliciuscula is a species of sedge known by the common names false sedge,{{BSBI 2007 |accessdate=2014-10-17 }} simple bog sedge{{PLANTS|id=KOSI2|taxon=Kobresia simpliciuscula|accessdate=22 January 2016}} and simple kobresia. This perennial plant forms tufts of several triangular stems reaching up to 50 centimeters in height. It has short rhizomes. The leaves are up to 20 centimeters long.
