Carol Leeming

Carolann Coleen Leeming (born 27 November 1957) is a British and Jamaican descent multi-disciplinary artist, writer, singer and musician who is noted for her poetry, plays and musical work. She is best known for her choreopoetry. Early life

Carol Leeming was born in Leicester, England, to parents from Jamaica and Antigua, who immigrated to the United Kingdom as part of the Windrush generation of the 1950s.{{Cite web|url=https://www.rlf.org.uk/writer/carol-leeming/|title=Carol Leeming |website=Royal Literary Fund}} Leeming grew up in Leicester, where she attended Alderman Newtons Grammar School (sometimes known as Alderman Newton's School), and grew up partly in Kingston Jamaica. Career

Honours and awards
