Castagnaro is a comune (municipality) in the Province of Verona in the Italian region Veneto, located about {{convert|80|km|mi}} southwest of Venice and about {{convert|50|km|mi}} southeast of Verona. As of 31 December 2004, it had a population of 4,091 and an area of {{convert|34.7|km2|mi2}}.All demographics and other statistics: Italian statistical institute Istat.
The municipality of Castagnaro contains the frazioni (subdivisions, mainly villages and hamlets) Menà and Vallestrema.
Castagnaro borders the following municipalities: Badia Polesine, Giacciano con Baruchella, Terrazzo, and Villa Bartolomea.
Castagnaro is also the sight of one of the most famous battles of the condottieri era.
