This is a tracking category for the templates {{tlx|nihongo}}, {{tlx|nihongo3}}, {{tlx|nihongo krt}}, and {{tlx|nihongo foot}}.

Remember that parameter order matters. The positional parameters for all of {{tld|nihongo}}, {{tld|nihongo3}}, {{tld|nihongo krt}}, and {{tld|nihongo foot}} templates is the same:

:{{nihongo|<{{var|english}}>|<{{var|kanji/kana}}>|<{{var|rōmaji}}>}}

When the template is supposed to hold only <{{var|kanji/kana}}>, position 2, the first position, <{{var|english}}> must be present and empty:

:{{nihongo||<{{var|kanji/kana}}>}}
