The website formerly used URLs such as https://www.cfl.ca/roster/show?id=2993 and the infobox used {{para|cfl|2993}}. The old link no longer works, so the infobox does not display it and adds the page to this category.

There are two methods to fix the CFL link and remove a page from this category:

; Current CFL players

: Go to [https://www.cfl.ca/players/ CFL.ca/players/] and find the player's profile. The new URL format is https://www.cfl.ca/players/brandon-smith/142781/. Update the infobox, replacing {{para|cfl|2993}} with {{para|cfl|brandon-smith/142781}} or similar.

; Former CFL players

: An archived link can be specified via {{para|cfl-archive}}. Go to the [https://archive.org/web/ Internet Archive: Wayback Machine] or a similar website and search for {{nowrap|[https://web.archive.org/web/*/http://www.cfl.ca/roster/show/id/6935 https://www.cfl.ca/roster/show/id/6935]}} or {{nowrap|1=[https://web.archive.org/web/*/http://www.cfl.ca/roster/show?id=6935 https://www.cfl.ca/roster/show?id=6935]}}.
