From 1996 to 2004, the Science Fiction and Fantasy Hall of Fame inducted writers and editors of fantasy and science fiction. As the Science Fiction Hall of Fame from 2005 to 2012, it inducted people for their contributions to science fiction Literature; Art; and Film, Television and Media. The original name and original attention to fantasy as well as science fiction were restored in 2013, though not the original focus on literature.
As of the 2024 class there were 111 people inducted.
