Template Substitution
I think all these templates should be substed (even the ones not in the template space). I am going to set my bot doing it if nobody disagrees as really they are no different to other templates that are already being substed. ·Add§hore· Talk To Me! 19:28, 23 February 2009 (UTC)
The best of the bad
I went through and looked at the hundreds of templates on this page. Most templates were god awful, but I few stuck out as inspiring, which I list below. Hopefully editors will be inspired by these templates and make better ones.

There is a great deal which can be done to assist this project including contributing requested articles and improving or revising existing articles into featured article status.
How can you help?
- You can help maintain Piracy-related articles to comply with Wikipedia Policy and Manual of Style.
- You can obtain public domain and fair use Piracy-related images under GNU Free Documentation License such as through [http://commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/Category:Piracy Wikimedia Commons].
- You can create and edit of Piracy-related articles, particularly articles in :Category:Piracy stubs.
- You can translate Piracy-related articles from foreign language Wikipedias to the English Wikipedia.
- You can help provide assessments of Piracy-related articles.
- You can help expand articles currently in the Stub-class and Start-class.
- You can help provide sources for non referenced articles.
- Although original research is against Wikipedia policy, members are allowed to research topics to expand. Additionally, this will allow members who may be unfamiliar with specific and specialized areas of piracy to become involved in the project.
The focus of this WikiProject considerably covers a large historical period and specific topics, so please feel free to contribute within your own area of interest.
