A New South Wales representative {{rlp|ce}}, he captained and later coached the Canterbury-Bankstown club of the New South Wales Rugby Football League.[https://web.archive.org/web/20180909221836/http://thebulldogs.com.au/sportal.php?page=player&id=162 Cec Cooper] at thebulldogs.com.au He is the brother of Australian international Lionel Cooper and fellow Canterbury-Bankstown players Col Cooper and Reg Cooper.
