In the early 2010s, Bishop Edward Slattery of Tulsa asked Ripperger to consider training exorcists for the diocese; from that, an idea developed to begin a society of exorcists. Ripperger moved into a motherhouse in 2014 and then a celebration for the formal establishment of the Society of the Most Sorrowful Mother was held in March 2015.{{cite news |title=Bringing the deliverance of Christ to the afflicted |url=https://lancasterlatinmass.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/03/fatherparinello.pdf |access-date=19 November 2024 |work=Eastern Oklahoma Catholic |publisher=Diocese of Tulsa |date=September 2015 |archive-date=March 31, 2024 |archive-url=https://web.archive.org/web/20240331005645/https://lancasterlatinmass.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/03/fatherparinello.pdf |url-status=live }} In September 2016, the Society moved to the Archdiocese of Denver.{{cite news |last1=Douglas |first1=Max |title=Traditionalist Society of Exorcists Moving to Denver |url=https://www.churchmilitant.com/news/article/traditionalist-society-of-exorcists-moving-to-denver |work=Church Militant |date=January 17, 2017 |archive-url=https://web.archive.org/web/20170118081114/https://www.churchmilitant.com/news/article/traditionalist-society-of-exorcists-moving-to-denver |archive-date=Jan 18, 2017 |url-status=dead}} It is presently based in Keenesburg, Colorado.{{cite book |title=The Official Catholic Directory for the Year of Our Lord 2021 |date=2021 |publisher=P.J.
