Champlong Lakes ({{langx|it|Laghi di Champlong}}, {{langx|fr|Lacs de Champlong}}) are a group of three alpine lakes located in La Magdeleine, Aosta Valley, Italy.
Description
The lakes are located at about {{convert|2300|m|abbr=on}} above sea level in a grassy basin, at the foot of the rugged northwestern slope of Mount Tantané. The three bodies of water are positioned at different levels, with slightly varying altitudes, offering panoramic views, with a wide view of the western side of Valtournenche Valley, as well as the major peaks on the right bank of the central Dora Baltea valley, particularly Mount Emilius.{{citation needed|date= February 2025}}
The lakes can be reached with an easy walk, mainly on a dirt road, starting from an altitude of about {{convert|1900|m|abbr=on}} from the road that connects La Magdeleine to the Col de la Pilaz mountain pass. The hike requires a gain of about {{convert|477|m|abbr=on}} in elevation (including any descent), as well as 1 hour and 30 minutes of walking.{{cite book |author=Claudio Trova |year=2010 |title=Valle d'Aosta, escursioni per tutti |url= |location=Turin |publisher=Edizioni del Capricorno |pages=116 |isbn= |language=IT}}{{Cite web|url=https://www.lamontagnadeiragazzi.it/valtournenche-laghi-di-champlong/ |title=Valtournenche – Laghi di Champlong |language=it |first=|last=|access-date=2025-02-09 |date= |website=La Montagna dei Ragazzi}} The route also passes by Lake Charey.
