Channel Incident is a 1940 British short (15 minutes) drama film directed by Anthony Asquith and starring Peggy Ashcroft, Gordon Harker, Robert Newton and Kenneth Griffith. It combines documentary footage with acting.

The film is a propaganda effort, made during the Second World War, that depicts the female owner (Ashcroft) of a yacht, the Wanderer, heading across the English Channel to help evacuate British troops from Dunkirk.{{cite web |url=http://ftvdb.bfi.org.uk/sift/title/15156 |archive-url=https://web.archive.org/web/20090115090826/http://ftvdb.bfi.org.uk/sift/title/15156 |url-status=dead |archive-date=2009-01-15 |title=BFI | Film & TV Database | CHANNEL INCIDENT (1940) |publisher=Ftvdb.bfi.org.uk |date=2009-04-16 |access-date=2012-02-14}}[http://www.britmovie.co.uk/directors/a_asquith/filmography/020.html ] {{webarchive |url=https://web.archive.org/web/20080110085244/http://www.britmovie.co.uk/directors/a_asquith/filmography/020.html |date=10 January 2008}} Other ships referenced, as the larger vessels to which the civilian small craft are ferrying troops lifted from the beaches, are the SS Princess Louise, SS Blackburn Rovers and Devonia.
