Charles A. Martin served as the Chief Scout of the Boy Scouts of South Africa{{cite web|url=http://www.scouting.org.za/capewest/heritage/Legendary%20Leaders/ChiefScoutsofSA.pdf|title=Chief Scouts of South Africa|accessdate=21 November 2016|publisher=SCOUTS South Africa}} and also International Commissioner of the Scout Association of Rhodesia, which has since become the Scout Association of Zimbabwe.
