Charles Everette Peterson (October 2, 1889 – December 17, 1959) was an American college football and college basketball coach and dean.{{cite web|url=https://ens.sdsu.edu/people/emeritus-memoriam/charles-e-peterson/|title=Charles Everette Peterson|publisher=San Diego State University|access-date=December 6, 2018}} He served as the head football coach at San Diego State University (SDSU) from 1921 to 1929, compiling a record of 43–31–4.{{cite web|url=https://goaztecs.com/documents/2017/8/9/_sdsu_m_footbl_2017_18_misc_non_event__fb-17-history.pdf|title=SDSU Football History|publisher=San Diego State University|access-date=December 6, 2018}} He was also the head basketball coach at San Diego State from 1921 to 1926, tallying a mark of 70–30.
