Background

Charles Fernandes was born in Wakefield, West Riding of Yorkshire, England, and he died aged 87 in Thirsk, North Riding of Yorkshire, England.

He was the younger brother of Henry Walker Luis Fernandes[http://www.freebmd.org.uk/cgi/information.pl?cite=mRCdXq7i4v0FD5Ln5l1OUQ&scan=1], and was the older brother of the twins; cricketer Rowland Walker Luis Fernandes[https://cricketarchive.com/Archive/Players/874/874989/874989.html], and cricketer Ramsden Walker Luis Fernandes[https://cricketarchive.com/Archive/Players/874/874992/874992.html].

Playing career
