For his Ganges trek, Bird took a path from the sea to the river's source, battling from the Bay of Bengal to the Himalayas along the river.{{cite web|url=http://www.ctlfilms.com/p1/productions.htm |title=OUR PRODUCTIONS |publisher=Crossing the Line Films |archiveurl=https://web.archive.org/web/20080529055521/http://ctlfilms.com/p1/productions.htm |archivedate=29 May 2008 |url-status=dead }} In the Arctic, filmed in 2008, Bird met the Inuit community in Grise Fiord, Nunavut.{{cite news|url=http://www.irishtimes.com/newspaper/travel/2008/0816/1218748019221.html|title=MY HOLIDAYS – CHARLIE BIRD|newspaper=The Irish Times|date=16 August 2008|accessdate=16 August 2008}}
