When Yang Gi was a Jinzi Guanglu Daifu ({{hanja|金紫光祿大夫}}), Princess Noguk had a marriage to an ordinary person planned by Gongmin of Goryeo. Because of this, Yang Gi entered Goryeo as a fatherly master of the Queen. Yang Gi became Gongsin ({{hanja|功臣}}) because he made a lot of contribution to diplomacy in Goryeo and Yuan dynasty. Yang Gi’s descendant founded Cheongju Yang clan and made Cheongju, Cheongju Yang clan’s Bon-gwan.{{Cite book|author=|date=|title=Academy of Korean Studies 청주양씨 淸州楊氏|publisher=Academy of Korean Studies|url=http://terms.naver.com/entry.nhn?docId=291234&cid=42835&categoryId=42835&mobile}}{{Dead link|date=November 2018 |bot=InternetArchiveBot |fix-attempted=yes }}{{Cite journal |author=Jin Guanglin |author-link=:ja:金光林 (歴史学者) |date=2014 |title=A Comparison of the Korean and Japanese Approaches to Foreign Family Names |journal=Journal of Cultural Interaction in East Asia |volume=5 |via=Society for Cultural Interaction in East Asia |url=http://www.sciea.org/wp-content/uploads/2014/05/03_JIN.pdf |page=21}}
