Chiloglanis is a genus of upside-down catfishes native to Africa.{{FishBase genus | genus = Chiloglanis| month = December | year = 2011}} These species have modified lips and barbels that form a suckermouth.{{cite book|title=Fishes of the World|author=Nelson, J.S.|publisher=John Wiley & Sons, Inc|year=2006|isbn=0-471-25031-7}} They also have a naked (scaleless) body.{{cite journal|author1=Ng, H.H. |author2=Bailey, R.M. |year=2006|title=Chiloglanis productus, a new species of suckermouth catfish (Siluriformes: Mochokidae) from Zambia|journal=Occasional Papers of the University of Michigan Museum of Zoology|volume=738|pages=1–13}} Sexual dimorphism has been reported in Chiloglanis. The adult males of many of these species have elongate anal and caudal fins.
